Revenue rose 21 percent to $21.5 million. Print advertising revenue was 14 percent higher at $13.3 million, while revenue from online recruitment services climbed 53 percent to $6.1 million. Executive search revenue dropped 27 percent to $600,000. 51Job's gross margin was 55.3% in the first quarter, up from 48.7% a year ago.
Looking ahead, the company expects second-quarter revenue of $21.2 million to $22.5 million. Adjusted earnings are expected between 13 cents and 15 cents per ADS.
